Brian Kinwald going to Team Associated??

At the IIC Warm up Race in Tucson, AZ, long time Losi driver, Brian Kinwald was spotted running an Associated TC5.
When I asked him about this, he neither confirmed, nor denied joining Team Associated. Brian did say that he is a free agent and has been talking to some people regarding a new ride.
Could this be a new era in the Losi/AE battles?
